About Me

Hi! My name is Armaan Ahmed, and I am currently a philosopher, writer, photographer, and maker. Previously, at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Studies--a school where students design their own major--I studied The Experience of Creativity. More recently, I finished my MA in Philosophy and Art at Stony Brook's Brooklyn-based program, where I continued thinking about creativity through aesthetics and ontology. I'm on my way to a PhD in Philosophy, where I'll inevitably think wider and deeper about creativity, ideation, and inspiration.

My writing has appeared in multiple publications, and you can find some of my favorite pieces on my website, here.

Beyond thinking, I make: clothes; food; art; gardens; events; photos; buisnesses.

Hire a Philosopher

Are you--as I--a fellow curious, creative person in search of more? Do you want to dig under the surface of this life a little deeper, but have found yourself unequipped with a philosophical shovel?

For thousands of years, philosophers have been asking the same questions that preoccupy us today, yet we too often forget to read the insights they so painstakingly developed. Philosophy is, thus, for everyone. I am not here to give you the answers, for I do not have them. I am here to help you find your own.

I will work with you to develop a personalized curriculum based on your interests, needs, and tastes. Previous experience philosophizing is not required, only a willingness to learn. Readings might span books, poetry, literature, art, and music.

 Sessions cost $80
